Our mission for exchange programs is to deepen people-to-people exchanges to foster mutual understanding and respect, as well as to create an international cooperation between communities at a subnational level. We have created our global initiative Subnational X to implement all of our exchange programs under one brand through KIF's national chapters with our partners . The initiative aims to advance grassroots engagements in economic, cross-cultural, educational, sports, youth and security exchanges in collaborations with governments, civil society and community leaders.
Our first exchange project was the U.S. Martial Arts Festival that we hosted in 2010 and 2011 with over 1,000 martial arts masters, students and supporters representing their schools and countries from around the world to facilitate the exchange of cultures and their arts. Since then, we have implemented a variety of successful international exchange programs for tens of thousands of people of a wide range of ages and backgrounds through our national chapters in different continents.
Subnational partnerships for states, cities, and other subnational actors have never been more important to facilite constructive opportunities and proactively engage in bilateral and international initiatives.
Our national chapters facilitate grassroots people-to-people exchange projects ranging from cross-cultural to professional to educational to economic to sports in an inclusive and diverse way with our regional strategic partners.
We welcome all individuals who believe in our mission and vision and are ready to take on some wonderful assignments for our programs and activities to make a difference in your communities and its people.
