GIRLS & WOMEN

OVERVIEW

We are committed to advancing girls and women's empowerment and leadership and achieving gender equality in partnerships with the United Nations agencies and others international NGOs. In late 2019, we have officially partnered with the United Nations Population Funds (UNFPA) to advance gender equality and combat a Gender-Based Violence (GBV) against girls and women globally through sports and martial arts trainings. Our co-founder Nia Lyte is a TED Talk Speaker and has advocated for women's rights, empowerment and leadership and gender equality before thousands of girls and women leaders for international organizations at the U.N. Headquarters in New York as well as for schools in different countries.

GIRLS & WOMEN

INITIATIVE

Together with our global partner United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), Guardian Girls™ aims to empower girls and young women to defend themselves from all forms of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) through martial arts trainings. Martial arts can play a critical role in preventing GBV. It can impart self-defense skills and enable women to avoid, interrupt, and resist assault. This is against the misunderstandings, gender stereotyping views, and individualistic assumptions about the trainings.
